#025: Extending Client Lifetime Value
Words I Believe: I believe the simplest business is one where clients never want to leave.
The Month that Changed Everything
I closed out my books for the month and realized something that stopped me in my tracks.
I had just finished a $28,000 month.
But here’s the kicker: it didn’t come from chasing 50 new leads.
It didn’t come from a flashy launch or a viral post.
It came from one existing client deciding to re-sign with me for $12,000. And 2 new clients saying yes to $8,000 each.
That’s when it clicked.
We’ve been sold a lie about what growth actually looks like.
The big growth myth
You’ve seen the promises:
“I’ll help you get 50 new qualified leads per month.”
“Sign your next 3 clients in 30 days.”
“Land $100K in 100 days.”
Catchy. Marketable. Easy to sell.
But here’s the problem: when your business depends only on constantly finding new clients, you’re stuck on the hamster wheel forever.
Real growth happens when your clients don’t just buy once — they stay, they ascend, and sometimes, they even come back.
The model that saved my business
After shutting down my group coaching program, I asked myself: What would actually make my business feel sustainable?
The answer wasn’t in doing more. It was in creating a simple model where every client had a clear next step. I want them to actually get excited about it. So I decided to call it the Never Want to Leave model.
Here’s how mine works:
Level 1: Short-Term Engagements
A VIP Day or 30-day Easy Yes Offer. Designed to give a quick win and build trust fast.
Level 2: Simply Profitable (6 months)
This is where clients work with me 1:1 to install simple systems and strategies that take them to consistent $10K+ months.
Level 3: Simply Scaling (Ongoing Mastermind)
The long-term container. Updated strategies, peer learning, bigger revenue goals, and the option to continue 1:1 with me or simply be a part of the mastermind.
Not every client starts at Level 1. Some naturally flow into Level 2 first if it’s the right fit. But, everyone must go through Level 2 to advance to Level 3. Reminds you of a game, huh? That’s intentional.
Because each level has a specific outcome, my clients always know what comes next.
That’s why half of them naturally move into the next step.
And why some have stayed with me for three years straight, the same amount of time I’ve been running this model.
Industry standard retention is 20–30%. This model? 50%+ (not including the ones who leave and later come back).
That’s not an accident. That’s by design.
Why this matters for you
One $3,000 client doesn’t have to be a one-and-done.
With the right continuity model, that same client can become $20,000 over time.
This is how you stop recreating corporate life in your business.
This is how you extend the life time value of your clients.
This is how you step off the hamster wheel.
This is how you create a business that feels light, simple, and sustainable.
A simple exercise for this week:
Grab a notebook and ask yourself:
1) Do my offers flow naturally into each other?
2) Does each offer have a clear, specific outcome?
3) Do my clients know what comes next when they finish?
4) How many clients continue and how can I increase that number?
