I’ve heard it so many times:

“I don’t want to niche because…”

↦ I don’t want to miss opportunities

↦ I don’t want to get bored

↦ I don’t want to box myself in

 And honestly?

With the way niching is usually taught, it does all of the above.

I’ll admit—I've taught it that way too.

But here’s what I know now:

There are two types of niches that work.

You just have to choose the one that matches your goals, energy, and vision.

Niche 1: The Narrow Niche

You focus on a specific audience and outcome.

Think: “I help ___ with ___ so they can ___.”

Example:

I help coaches simplify their systems and strategies so it’s easy to achieve consistent $10K+ months.

Template:

I help (who) with (specific problem or goal) so they can (achieve ideal outcome).

 Pros:

∎ Converts faster

∎ Easier to monetize

Cons:

∎ Can feel boxed in
∎ Limited target audience
∎ Not always creatively fulfilling

Niche 2: The Personal Brand Niche

You build your business around your journey, mission, and values.

You share your perspective, and your offers evolve as you do.

This is where your mission lives.

Example:

Building a multi-7-figure portfolio of income streams, living a freedom-filled, joyful life, and showing executives and entrepreneurs how to do the same.

Template:

I share what I’ve learned from (personal transformation or belief), so I can help (ideal audience) (achieve result, experience, or lifestyle shift).

Pros:

∎ Flexible and deeply aligned

∎ Builds long-term trust and audience connection

∎ Let's you create offers from your full life experience

Cons:

∎ Takes longer to monetize
∎ Requires stronger content and messaging
∎ Less predictable buyer journey
